​I love the greeting cards that people give me.  Such thought and special words.  After I have displayed them and loved them for a period of time putting them in a draw just ends the encouragement given.  So I love to recycle them and continue to see the words and handwriting of people who are special to me.  I take my most special cards and cut them up and make them the wind tail for my bells in the garden.  I usually change the tail twice in the summer season.  It is so enjoyable to see those cards "Blowing in the Wind"......

Well now you might be asking, "What were you doing at the Redmond county fair?  Sue and I were  visiting Justin who for over 7 years, (since he was a little tyke) has worked for Frank @ WoolBusters.com  mutton busting and showcasing long horns.

I love the outdoors and love sitting under the pergola that my son Justin built for us this summer.  
I also love to connect with my readers but sitting inside on a beautiful summer day?  Argh!  
So I said, "Kristen you need to think outside the box."  
​A suddenly an epiphany slapped me on my head. I remembered that last summer during my visit to see my dear friend Sue in La Pine, Or., we had purchased several parasols to ward off the heat on THE hottest day of the year.   If memory serves me right I think it was over 107 degrees.  At the Redmond county fair, that's hot for us Oregonians.

Now this story is getting longer, but it is full of fun.
See me below yup, ridding Shotgun.  My son thought I would never do it!  You know us parents are into shock value.  

All in all, this day was spent with some of my favorite people in the world.
As you and I get to know each other I'll be sharing other "special" things my family entertains themselves with.  International trucks, World War 2 memorabilia, hunting....the list goes on.
WE will have fun sharing.....
