I am so fortunate to have "strappin" men at my creative disposal. Well, I might bribe them with food. Just last weekend we moved out into our outdoor space for the summer season. It's like getting an extra family room every year. The pergola is an all year round "room" support. At different times of the year, we entertain on warm summer's eve's or DIY Christmas Craft project during the winter. Our home stretches it's tent pegs with an outdoor feel. It was an easy project for my son Justin (who has worked construction) easy to design and build from his Mom's desire. I collected pictures of how I wanted it to look. Below you will find "free" plans if you need a bit of structure. Included are photo's from the entire process. The project took us two weekends to complete. Shopping lumber, setting posts in cement, painting and clean up. The painting which was my job took up the most time. We did not use pressure treated wood; I used an outdoor stain/paint and double/triple coated it.
