Thursday swished by quickly this week and my husband Don came home from work with a twinkle in his eye and a bug in his ear. Honey I've always wanted to make homemade Ravioli. I responded, "are you sure?" "It takes a lot of patience to work with the dough", Yup Don said, I can read a recipe.......Well 2 hours latter and a few delicate words flying....... the blankity blank dough would not move through the blankity blank pasta maker, my son Justin and I stayed away from the kitchen and chuckled under our breath. Both Justin and I our proud to say we are accomplished "Dough Movers". Yes I said mover not makers. Anyone can make dough, its the professional that can pick it up and place it where you want. I am one of those people who do not understand people who buy "frozen pie dough" and box cake mixes. Bah!!!!
I haven't made homemade pasta for awhile........let the dust cool around here and then I'll casually show him up!!!!
Ok as I was reading my blog and laughing at his grumpy picture I felt a ping in my heart and thought I would share. My husband is an accomplish cook, master of the Barbecue, Award winning Lamb Chili, stir fry champ and he butchers and wraps all his own meats.
I promise I'll let him have a victory to share with you along with some of his great recipes.
I heard those of you say, when will she show us how to make pie dough....Promise I will make a video, I'll ask Justin to join me.....
I may have to have some kind of sworn statement from you that you will solemnly swear not to purchase frozen pie dough.....so let's hear from you!!!
